Born as Marion Hall on the 12th July 1972 in Galina, Saint Mary, Jamaica, she is a singer-songwriter, best known to the world by her stage name Lady Saw. During her childhood, Lady Saw went to Galina Primary School, and in her teens she found her first job sewing at The Free Zone. By the end of the decade, she had recorded three more albums – “Give Me The Reason” (1996), “Passion” (1997), and “99 Ways” (1998), with which she proved herself worthy as a musician, since she won a Grammy Award for the song “Underneath It All”, which is a duet with the pop-rock group No Doubt. Going into the 2000s, Lady Saw wasn`t quite so active in the studio, as she had other plans for her career, but in 2004 released her fifth album, entitled “Strip Tease”, which was quite successful as it spawned such hits as I’ve Got Your Man”, “Man is the Least”, “Loser” and “Move Your Body”, and reached No. 14 on the US Reggae chart.
