Passion Java, a local Zimbabwean, considers himself to be a prophet. In recent decades in Zimbabwe, he has become a prominent figure as a religious leader within a new age Pentecostal church.
He established both Passion Java Ministries and the Kingdom Embassy church in its current location.
In 2018, Java started funding Zimdancehall musicians, including Enzo Ishall, among others. In their songs, a number of these artists have mentioned his name.

In response to the allegations, Passion Java has neither refuted nor confirmed the reports that are making their way across social media.
Instead, Passion Java, who appeared to be proud of himself for having fathered a child by Da Gama, offered examples from the Bible of men who were involved in more than one relationship at the same time.
